How secure is trading through myStreetscape®?

  • myStreetscape® incorporates a combination of Internet security, including firewalls, user ID and password protection, and the latest version of Secure Sockets Layer. This ensures that data is encrypted, that users are properly identified, and that transactions are secure. Version 3.0 of the Secure Sockets Layer protocol is a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. The protocol allows client/server applications to communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering or message forgery.

 

What are myStreetscape® system requirements?

Processor

        Recommended: Pentium 4 - 2 GHz or Greater

        Minimum: Pentium III - 1 GHz

Operating System

Recommended: Windows XP with Service Pack 2

Minimum: Windows XP with Service Pack 2

Memory

          Recommended: 512 MB of RAM or Greater

Minimum: Windows: 256 MB of RAM

Internet Connection

          Recommended: T-1, DSL or cable modem

          Minimum: 56K Modem

Browser

Recommended: Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption and Netscape Navigator or Communicator 4.77 with 128-bit encryption.

Minimum: Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption and Netscape Navigator or Communicator 4.5 with 128-bit encryption. Netscape 6.x or higher is not currently supported. Macintosh and America Online (AOL) is not fully compatible with the web site and is therefore supported on a best effort basis. For issues with AOL, minimize AOL after connecting and open an Internet Explorer browser from the desktop and navigate from the browser.

Monitor

Recommended: 1024 x 768 to 1280 X 1024 resolution with a 19” monitor

Minimum: 1024 X 768 resolution with a 17” monitor

 Plug-Ins

Recommended: Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or Sun Java Virtual Machine 1.4.2_v13 for users with streaming applet.

Minimum: Adobe Acrobat 3.2 or Sun Java Virtual Machine 1.4.2_v11 for users with streaming applet.

Who is FISN's clearing firm?

  • Accounts are carried by National Financial Services LLC (NFS), member NYSE/SIPC. NFS is a Fidelity InvestmentJ company.

What does FISN's clearing firm do for me?

  • Executes, clears and settles your securities transactions passed through by your broker.
  • Prepares and sends you periodic account statements, as well as confirmations of transactions in your account.
  • Takes custody (or safekeeping) of funds and securities for your account in accordance with your broker's instructions.
  • Extends margin credit in connection with buying or maintaining securities in your account (provided you complete a margin account agreement)
  • Maintains the required books and records with respect to the functions it performs.
